James Wright - Head Professional
James took over the role of Head Professional at Sandy Lodge in February 2022.
James cut his professional teeth at Old Fold Manor before moving on to Harpenden Common Golf Club and West Herts.
A highly talented golfer and former Captain of the England Schoolboys Golf team, James is a committed and successful playing professional, holder of numerous course records, playing in The Open at Turnberry, winner of an American satellite tour event as well as many of the PGA East Region competitions.
Using his experience and substantial skillset, James’ philosophy centres around the fundamentals of the game and adapting to different players’ needs. “Sharpen the basics and watch your game flourish”.
Bronagh O'Keeffe - Assistant Professional
Bronagh has a long association with Sandy Lodge Golf Club. Before turning Professional in 2021 she was one of our star juniors, playing at National and County levels. Bronagh holds the Women’s Course Record Score of -3 and her many achievements outside the Club include winning the prestigious Prince of Wales Amateur Ladies Challenge at Woburn Golf Club in 2018.
As well as coaching golfers in all aspects of the game, Bronagh is a specialist in putting. Her deep understanding of this enables her to help golfers hone their skills in arguably the most important area of the game.
