Sandy Lodge Golf Club

Guidelines

Welcome to Sandy Lodge Golf Club. These notes have been prepared to give you some background information about Sandy Lodge Golf Club. The Club welcomes guests, and we hope that you have an enjoyable day with us.

Sandy Lodge Golf Club is located on the Moor Park Estate. Upon entering the estate from Sandy Lane (A4125), you will need to travel up Sandy Lodge Lane, and through the security gate. Once you are through the gate, please travel up the road towards the Club, and approximately 200 yards from the primary member's car park, you will find the turning on the left for guest parking.

Once parked, please make your way towards the Clubhouse and check into the Golf Shop where directions and further instructions will be provided.

Course

We would ask that trolleys and buggies aren’t taken into the thick rough, or between greenside bunkers and the green.

Golf Clubs

Please secure your clubs in your vehicles after golf. Golf clubs are not permitted in the clubhouse. No trolleys or bags should be placed in the terrace area.

Practice Areas

Guests are permitted access to the practice facilities 30 minutes before your allocated tee time. When using the short game area, please ensure you only hit a maximum of 5 shots from the permitted area.

We would request that practice balls aren’t used on the short game area.

The pace of play

Sandy Lodge Golf Club has adopted ‘Ready Golf’ philosophy. The principles of Ready Golf are:

  1. No honour, except in match play – the first player ready plays!
  2. Players should play their own ball before helping others look for their lost ball.
  3. When not playing your shot, you should be preparing to play.

Dress Code

Sandy Lodge Golf Club is a traditional, but welcoming Private Members Club, and we would ask that the following standards are observed:

On the Course

Standard golf attire should be worn. In the summer tailored golf shorts and sport, socks are permitted. Any type of denim jeans, training shoes (or other shoes not designed for golf), singlet type sleeveless vests, training or swimming shorts are not permitted.

In the Clubhouse

Smart casual is acceptable, including smart jeans. Mobile phones are allowed, only if they are switched to silent mode. No golf shoes to be worn in the main bar lounge, or reception area.

Footpaths

A small number of public footpaths cross the course and players are asked to be aware of walkers and runners.

Security

You are reminded that the Club cannot be held responsible for the loss of goods belonging to guests. Every guest is advised to have his or her own insurance cover for any loss and for third-party liability. A code for operating the locker room door will be issued upon arrival at the Golf Shop.
