Hole 18

Jacob’s Gable

When former Ryder Cup Captain John Jacobs was the Sandy Lodge Professional, he lived just behind the 18th green. It soon became evident that the peak of his home was the perfect aiming point for this short par 3. Remember to pay heed to the Pro's tip and club up. A large sloping green will make you earn a par if your tee shot is off line. But no worries. You have successfully reached the 19th, and its time for a hearty meal and an ice cold drink!

Member’S Tip:

Par 3 18th uphill with two deep green side pot bunkers to the front of the green with a narrow entrance between them, also two green side bunkers to the right of the green. This hole plays longer than the yardage shown with most players taking more club, it is better to be long than short, if you are short its possible to find the pot bunkers, and depending on your bunker play most players will walk off with a bogey four.
